Castle Valley Pageant

August 2-4 and 7-11, 2012

Castle Valley Pageant

Emery County Utah's Castle Valley was settled by the most talented pioneers to make the long and dangerous trek across North America to the wild Utah Territory. These early Mormon Pioneers had to use their brute strength, inumerable talents, and tender obedience to GOD, to settle one of the final frontiers in the great American West. The pageant is set high above the Castle Valley in the hills north of Orangeville, Utah. Visitors can walk through the Pioneer Village, and speak with local actors who have learned the various crafts that their pioneer ancestors passed down to them. You can learn about the crafts necessary for a pioneer settlement to survive, such as blacksmithing, farming with horse-drawn implements, weaving, and spinning. You can also enjoy great food, and get up close to the horses and authentic buildings at the pageant site. Visit the Castle Valley Pageant this year, and remember no reservations are required, and admission is always FREE!
